Little Mountain Elementary School, Mount Vernon, WA

This mural was designed for kids to enjoy. The imagery combines the colorful elements of the Skagit Valley like the river, forests, farms, tulip fields, wildlife, and Mount Baker. The school’s mascot is a lion, so I added a lion cub leaping out of the tulip fields. It was fun to design something completely different than my usual murals, with lots of bold color blocks and cute animals that kids would enjoy discovering.
